Qualified/Experienced Vehicle Technician

If you are an experienced Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Tech, then we would like to hear from you. We are looking for Technicians capable of working on their own initiative, who can communicate problems and issues articulately to the Front of House or directly to a customer if required. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £28,000.00-£36,000.00 per year, depending on experience Benefits: Employee discount On-site parking Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 Technician Duties: - Must have relevant and recent experience on cars and light commercial vehicles - Be sufficiently supplied and responsible for your own equipment - Tools and specialist equipment provided to you must be protected, kept suitable for use, and left in the correct locations for easy to access of the full workshop team - Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults - Repair vehicles appropriately to a high standard - Comply with the stated job on the workshop/customer requirements - Contain costs and manage customer expectations. If a job incurs additional costs, inform Front of House immediately and seek authorisation from the customer before further expenditure - Honour Health and Safety policies and procedures - Maintain vehicle appearance using disposable protection to avoid damaging aesthetics - Perform basic care and maintenance as well as more complex repairs - Disassemble and reassemble parts with care to avoid damage - Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability - Ensure all used parts are listed on the job sheet - Return all unused parts in an appropriate, unused condition for a full refund - Provide a write-up per job carried out - Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives which are suitable to the repair conducted We predominantly work on VW, Audi and Mercedes, but work on most brands of car and light commercials. Your experience must be relevant to this job. An ideal candidate will have a level 3 qualification (or level 2 depending on years of experience). If you are experienced, but limited in qualifications - we are happy to talk to you! Inexperienced candidates will not be considered for this position. Any candidate must have experience in cars and light commercial vehicles. Required: Full UK Driving License (no more than 3 points) Expected start date: Immediate
